All members are welcome to visit the District Executive Committee Meeting, particularly if they are interested in becoming an Area or Division Governor for the 2010-11 fiscal year. This is a great opportunity to meet the district leadership and see how things operate on a level beyond the four walls of a home club.

Competent Leader Matrices
As mentioned at TLI, there are some errors on the matrix in the Competent Leadership manual on page 76. As an alternative, consider making copies of one of these revised forms for use in your club. These are more accurate and easier to use than the matrix in the manual.
Send Us Your Photos!
We have precious little content for our District Scrapbook. Please send us your JPG photos, with captions (tell us who is in the picture, when the picture was taken, and the occasion) and we will start building a 2009-2010 scrapbook.
We are looking for pictures of interest to the district as a whole, rather than pictures of club events. Division and Area Contests, Conferences, Toastmasters Leadership Institute, special guest speakers, events at specialty clubs, etc., are most appropriate for the District web site.

Outstanding Toastmaster Award
The District Outstanding Member Achievement program recognizes members for service and participation in Club, District, and Toastmasters International activities and programs. The program begins July 1 and ends June 30.
To participate, track your activities and accomplishments using the worksheet:
District 57 Outstanding Member Achievement form (oma.pdf, 52K)
Meet the minimum point requirement in each of four areas: Communication, Leadership, Training and Membership Growth. When you have earned all of the required points in each of the four areas, you and your club Vice President, Education sign the form and send it to Dennis Dawson LGET, 10775 Minette Drive, Cupertino, CA 95014.
Triple Crown Award
 Take part in District 57's Triple Crown Promotion! Earn three or more educational achievements between July 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010 to be recognized as a "Triple Crown Achiever."
Attain any three of the following to qualify: CC, ACB, ACS, ACG, CL, ALB, ALS, DTM.
